My latest doctor clearly doesn't believe me when I tell her that what ultimately messed me up so much I could no longer work was a simple respiratory illness that most people recover from without issues. I told her that I'm immunosuppressed and I've already had COVID, and the respiratory illness was on top of that. I told her that my eighty-year-old aunt got the same illness and was hospitalized for it, because if you're frail enough already, minor respiratory illnesses can mess you up. She just did that voice doctors do when they think you're making shit up but they don't want to put any more effort into arguing with you about it.
