Take Smashtasm. To me humor is something that’s both inevitable and unexpected, right? So when the obnoxious kid who thinks he’s a “pimp” shows up, it’s funny when he spews misogyny. It was inevitable the little prick would say that, even as it’s unexpected the show is willing to go there.
Then you get to season 2, and the characters start saying misogynistic things just because. There’s no buildup or reason. They’re just suddenly misogynistic. Where’s the joke?
Granted, season 2 had a LOT of scenes that were just random shit with no buildup or reason . . .
