Spoilers for both Steven Universe and When Rabbit Howls.

When Rabbit Howls is about recovery from abuse. Unlike Steven Universe, it’s (sold as?) nonfiction, so any catharsis is internal. But it ends with an explicitly fictional sequence in which the authors hunt down their abuser and force-feed him insects. It’s not what happened, but it’s what they wish had happened.
I guess some people need an ending like Steven Universe, where they and the abuser come to terms. But a lot of people just want to force-feed their abuser insects.
