My thoughts on the whole "orc racism" thing are limited by the fact that I don't have any stories to tell about evil orcs. That's not a moral statement. I just don't have any plotbunnies that require evil orcs, goblins, etc. in order to function. So it's hard for me to put myself in another author's shoes here. I do piss people off, but it's more . . . inflammatory, I guess? Like, yes this Native American character is kind of evil, but I refuse to rewrite him, because it's racist to say Native Americans can't be evil. So that's what I think of when I think of orc discourse, but then I can't really use that for anything, since the idea is supposed to be that evil orcs aren't related to racism.
