I still like the primary gameplay of Wrath of the Righteous, but I’m losing my damn mind at the Heroes of Lite and Magic parts. I have a limit of three units on the field, and the enemy gets so many units they fill the right side of the screen, and they can do things like completely prevent one of my units from attacking, or massively reduce my damage output, or straight-up electrocute a hundred of my units to death every turn from the other side of the field, and I can’t afford to auto-combat and take the losses, because then I won’t have enough troops to get past the next battle! This is blocking my access to quests because the demon armies plonked themselves down on the only roads to the quest markers

I know how to add and subtract. I imagine a bowl of marbles. Addition is putting more marbles in the bowl, and subtraction is taking marbles out. Algebra is moving the marbles from one bowl to another. But when I got to calculus, I’m afraid I lost my marbles.

I’m refusing to attend my brother’s supposedly “COVID-safe” wedding. My mother is crying. I’m trying to be comforting without backing down, but I just I want to ask her what the fuck is wrong with her. Why is this so important? Why is one person’s absence from another person’s wedding something she can’t handle? Why is it my job to control her emotions for her? Why are all these social conventions things she thinks will make me a ”real adult,” when I think they make her more childish?
