Folks talk about how they were “meant” for pre-industrial societies, but I can’t think of a single way I would be useful in one. My immune issues prevent me from performing manual labor. My hands never stop shaking, so I can’t do delicate work. I have terrible balance. My memory and attention span are poor. All of my skills require, at bare minimum, a typewriter in order to be properly used.

(Inb4 “In a non-capitalist society, you’re judged by more than the productivity of your labor!” In a society with insecure food supplies, it’s vital that everyone perform some function to ensure collective survival.)

Yeah, no way I'd want to live in a preindustrial society. I like antibiotics, being able to medically transition however awkwardly, and Ritz crackers too much.

...besides all my survival skills are dumpster rat crap. I'd probably survive a preindustrial society, but be considered possessed by demons.
