I don’t make fanvids, but I do love them. If I ever made them, these are some songs I think would fit:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Angel/Buffy): Daylight
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Xander -> Buffy): Invisible
Hard Candy (Jeff/Hayley): Little Red Riding Hood
Hellraiser: Pain
Kaiji: Queenie Eye
Luxaren Allure (Aurelie): Control
Paprika (The Parade): The Greatest Show Unearthed
Psycho-Pass (Kougami): Monster
Psycho-Pass (Ginoza & Masaoka): The Greatest Man I Never Knew
Sankarea (Chihiro/Rea): Infected Girls
Until Dawn (Josh): Lithium
And some more stuff that has to be useful for something:
Human (seems like it would fit a divine character)
Needle & Stitch (maybe Hannibal/Will? I never actually watched that)
You Are the Moon (This one just screams hurt/comfort)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Angel/Buffy): Daylight
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Xander -> Buffy): Invisible
Hard Candy (Jeff/Hayley): Little Red Riding Hood
Hellraiser: Pain
Kaiji: Queenie Eye
Luxaren Allure (Aurelie): Control

Date: 2020-04-27 12:44 am (UTC)I guess the mindset’s a little different. Creature Feature is going off of a vaguely Christian sin-inspired thing. You get everything you want, and being given those things kills you and damns you. Paprika seems to be from more of a collectivist tradition. You get everything you want, but gaining only for yourself with no regard to those around you is unfulfilling. Eventually, you realize that, but if you can’t understand that you have responsibilities to others, then the only other way out is to kill yourself rather than be bored with life.
Paprika is my second favorite movie

Date: 2020-04-27 02:38 am (UTC)Like, those conversations Paprika tries to have to snap her coworkers out of it when the parade takes them? I've been the coworkers in those conversations before, and I reacted in similar ways. I can only imagine how terrifying or surreal it must've been for the Paprika folks who were trying to reason with me.
Fortunately, it hasn't happened in a long time.
