feotakahariOkay, everything I know and love about Madoka Magica means I have to clap for this story's ending.
Charles thought the world could be salvaged without magic. Cindy thought the world was in such ruin only magic could repair it. Actually, Cindy's original world was so thoroughly doomed that no possible timeline averted the destruction of humanity, essentially godlike beings gave it up as a lost cause, and magic could only save other worlds besides her own. And there's still a happy ending because saving every possible world isn't the point! The point is simply to save what lives a human can, even a human as powerful as Cindy. Every life that's salvaged from a doomed world is a victory in itself.
