Sometimes people question why I argue so much with stupid people.

For college-level English, I read a book about how capitalism was lying to us and wouldn't bring us the paradise it promised. The author's solution to this was Christianity. This author won a World Fantasy Award: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Persuasion_Nation

If you ignore stupid people, you ignore a lot of the people who influence the culture around you.
