feotakahariConsider a situation where either humanity will all die, or an alien species will all die. I can’t relate to any human who’s certain they would never choose to save the aliens.
(On the flipside, I know of four works of fiction where nonhumans or non-baselines choose to wipe themselves out to save baseline humanity. Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal was the only one that was joking.)
