I'm watching an argument about Jackson Galaxy, and I'd just like to say that I put him in the same category as Alex Jones and Gwyneth Paltrow. It's not just that they sell medical products that are based on pseudoscience. It's that they sell medical products that use the name of pseudoscience, but aren't even compatible with the stated beliefs of the pseudoscience in question! If they can attach a name like reiki or Ayurveda, they can market it, even if it has absolutely nothing to do with those things.

Based on my knowledge of animal behaviorism, Galaxy's advice about cats tends to be good; it's really a shame he also peddles utter nonsense.

Man, what's even the WORD for mislabeled psuedoscience? Psuedoantiscience?

I've met a surprising number of homepathy fans who think it's a generic term for 'natural' medicine and if I try to explain to them the thing about successive dilutions or whatever they're like 'what? that sounds like nonsense'

yes. yes it does, doesn't it.
